Sonovo Mastering chooses Hexateq • 30 Sep
The Norwegian mastering Studio led by Thor Legvold asked Hexateq to assist with amplification for their new mastering room. Sonovo indicated that they needed plenty of drive for their low efficiency planar loudspeakers while maintaining absolute reference quality sonics throughout the amplifiers range. We are pleased that Sonovo selected Hexateq to provide a solid multichannel setup. We manufactured five 700W monoblock amplifiers which were fine tuned to the latest spec and application.

The lead mastering engineer, Darius van Helfteren, from www.amsterdammastering.com, contacted us with his requirements for a no-compromise power amplifier for his recently completed mastering studio which has been designed and built with maximum fidelity in mind. Do check out his site for more information on his studio and the impressive list of artists Darius has worked for. For this unique project we have worked directly with Bruno Putzeys, the inventor of UCD technology, to further tailor the amplifier for maximum fidelity. The amplifier is a full mono implementation based on the Hypex UCD700, a 700w Class D power module.
Due to the number of enquiries we have received we have decided to offer a revised version of this custom build to the public. This has become our Studio700. Do check out our products section for more information or contact us directly so we can discuss your personal requirements.

Pro-Ject range of turntables see new partnering turntable stand • 17 Oct
The Pro-Ject range of turntables are well known for their wonderful design and quality sound. Often though the equipment rack is not the most ideal place for the turntable. To solve this problem we have created a special turntable stand for the circular range of Pro-Ject turntables. The stand is manufactured using the latest CNC techniques and is finished in a gorgeous silky black coating. All cables are routed through the stand which can be mass loaded. The cables are guided through a non metal conduit that is running through the interior of the stand. Check our products section for more information.
